When: 15-16th May, 7am Start
Where: Blue Mountains NSW
How long: 100 Kilometres

599 participants including 45 pairs and 550 solo ultra-runners met in Leura on Saturday morning at 7am in perfect Blue Mountains Autumn conditions. Competitors were set to undertake one of the most difficult 100km ultra-trail marathon events in the Southern Hemisphere: The North Face 100.

Steve Domonkos (Alliance Equipment Finance Relationship Manager) was among those 550 solo ultra-runners.

Steve has trained for many months prior to The North Face 100 and completed a lead up event of 50km's. Training involved travelling up to the Blue Mountains bi-weekly to tackle a stage of the event. These training runs on average were 20-30km's at a time. Training becomes a full day event and for a father of three it can be hard to find a full day to train.

It takes a high calibre individual to be an ultra-runner. Steve's dedication and perseverance are not localised only to his ultra-running. These qualities are echoed throughout his life, including his work. Much like a long distance race, Steve will always strive to overcome any obstacles and dedicate his service to assist his customers on a day-to-day basis.

Steve has worked towards this goal for some time and Alliance Equipment Finance is proud of his achievement.

Congratulations to Steve Domonkos, who completed The North Face 2010 in a fantastic time of:
