Global Corporate Challenge Update

Posted on August 17, 2009

Over the last week we have made our way through the beautiful country of Switzerland and survived some of the most treacherous terrain that this challenge has so far thrown at us.  After scaling the iconic Matterhorn yesterday (I am pleased to report all team members survived), we flew out of Switzerland's Sion International Airport this morning and have arrived in Cardiff Wales. Cardiff is of particular interest for the Kiwi contingent of our GCC team, as many a passionate Rugby game has been played out between the All Blacks and the Welsh at Cardiff Stadium.

We are at day 85 of our journey and the team remains on track with a daily average of just over 10,400 steps per person. This average is expected to increase with the end of winter in sight and the warmer weather to get us re-motivated and get more active. We also reached another milestone with the total step count for our team passing the 6,000,000 mark - this works out to be an average distance of 7kms per person per day!

The below graphs show how the team is tracking:

Sunday August 16th was beat your personal best day - given the PB's held by some team members, there are some weary bodies in the office today!
