Global Corporate Challenge Update

Posted on September 1, 2009

We are now heading towards the finish line of the GCC having passed the 103 days of tracking our steps. With plenty of steps behind us we are averaging 10,548 steps per day, currently coming in at 2115 place of 8512 total teams.

Our week has seen us catch a plane out of Morocco to the Falkland Islands. It's a very long way from its motherland - the UK, but in Stanley, the Capital, you apparently walk past red phone boxes exactly like you would find in London and the local taxi drivers are just like their counterparts in London - they know every street. Sure, there are only about 20 streets but you can only work with what you've got.

After a quick stop in Secret Sub Pen our ship was prepared for the trip to Rio De Janeiro, the heart and soul of Brazil. Everything is big in Brazil. Big passion for football, big rainforests (the Amazon is a good example) big snakes, big parties, big beaches, big crosses overlooking cities, and of course - big parties and one really big mardi gras. With some big targets ahead of us best keep pumping out those steps to make it through the last 21 days of the GCC.

With one of our team members due with her first baby in 21 days lets hope she'll see the end of the challenge out with us.
